To have therapy services covered under insurance, a mental health diagnosis from the DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic Statistical Manual for Mental Health Disorders) must be made. This then becomes a part of your permanent health care record. Additionally, the insurance company has access to confidential information. The insurance company can review all of your records at their discretion. I can not guarantee your privacy, or the way in which the information will be used.
By paying privately, I can assure clients of the highest degree of privacy, flexibility and control of their mental health record.

I am an out-of-network provider for many insurance companies. Out-of-network benefits vary from plan to plan. For details, contact your insurance carrier and ask about “out-of-network” benefits for “outpatient mental health services.” Upon request, I am happy to provide you with a statement for therapy that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
